Offense stalls for Eagles

Liberty shot just 23 percent from the field and fell 51-39 to Hannibal in the district tourney Feb. 28.

Savannah Kruse recorded a double-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds. Avery Ingle was the only other player for the Eagles to reach double figures with 10 points

Liberty (11-15) trailed 13-8 after the first quarter and was held to 24 points through the first three quarters.

Host school ends Indians’ season

Jefferson City eliminated Holt from the postseason with a 52-21 win March 2.

Nicole Griesenauer had 11 points in the losing effort, while Emily Griesenauer had six.

Holt knocked off Battle 37-35 in the district opener Feb. 27. Griesenauer had a team-high 15 points. The Indians led 18-13 at halftime.

They ended the year with a 12-14 record, but won five of their last seven games.
