Jo Ann Adams Trupiano passed away quietly in her home on February 25, 2020.
Jo Ann was born on September 28, 1933, to Walter and Irene Adams. Jo Ann grew up in St. Louis and attended Beaumont High School. She married Andrew G. Trupiano on April 8, 1950. Andy and Jo Ann established their home in Florissant, Missouri, and raised their four children, owning Andy’s Shell in Jennings, Missouri, for 25 years. In 1981 they purchased the O’Fallon Midas Shop moving to Lake St. Louis. In 2004 Andy and Jo Ann retired to The Villages, Florida.
Jo Ann loved God and His Church above all things, her family and her parents. Jo Ann was an avid bridge player, bowler, golfer (11 certified hole-in-ones), musician and artist. Jo Ann was the organist for 30 years at St. Dismas Catholic Church and a Eucharistic Minister for St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Lady Lake, Florida.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Andrew G. Trupiano, and by her sister, Ruth Newman, and by her brother, Roy (Sharon) Adams, both of St. Louis, Missouri. Jo Ann is survived by her four children: Christine (Lenny) Marlo, Ballwin, Missouri; Jacalyn (David) Peters, Rancho Cucamonga, California; Robert (Kimberly Watkins) Trupiano, Wentzville, Missouri; and Patricia (Matthew) Sass, Hastings, Nebraska. “Grandma Trupi” is survived by 11 grand children: Thomas (Liezl) Moss, Jennifer (Mike) Sullivan, Matt Moss, Brian (Kellye) Peters, Jodi (Javon) Collins, Philip Marlo, Nathanael Sass, Noah Sass, Dorielle Sass, David and Maria (Sandy) Trupiano. Great Grandma Trupi is survived by 14 great grandchildren: Sydney Moss, Brendan Moss, Jaden, Jace and Juliet Collins, Mason and Cole Peters, Fatima, Petra, Antonina, Michael, Sophia, Maria, and Angelina Sullivan and 1 great great grand child, Dallas Moss.
Jo Ann’s funeral mass was held at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Lady Lake, Florida om March 13. Honorariums may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Mariposa Way, The Villages, Florida, 32162 or to the church.
