as Part of the Collision Industry Electronics Commerce Association (CIECA CONNEX) Annual Convention
ST. LOUIS, MO (September 12, 2022) – On Tuesday, September 13, another deserving St. Louis area veteran will experience a life-changing event – the presentation of a vehicle to provide them independence – thanks to the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides® program along with car donor Allstate Insurance, Caliber Collision and charity partner Missouri Veterans Endeavor.
The presentation will take place at the Embassy Suites St. Charles, Two Convention Center Plaza, Saint Charles, MO, as part of a national conference of Collision Industry Electronics Commerce Association (CIECA CONNEX). CIECA is a proud member of the National Auto Body Council®.
WHO: NABC Recycled Rides® program, along with:
- Vehicle donor Allstate
- Collision repair partner Caliber Collision
- Chavarria (Chevy) Harris, a deserving Air Force veteran selected by Missouri Veterans Endeavor
- Sponsor Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA)
WHAT: NABC®, its insurance company members and collision repair partners will present a refurbished vehicle to Chevy Harris, for whom receiving a vehicle would be essential in maintaining independent living. Harris has medical issues that do not allow him to stand for extended periods of time. As a result, he is unable to walk to, or stand at, a bus stop for public transportation. It is impossible for him to go grocery shopping and carry his items onto any type of public transportation. Harris has relied on ridesharing services to get to and from work and medical appointments. These rides, as well as using meal delivery services, places a large financial burden on his budget. He has often had to pass on work shifts due to high prices of Uber fares.
WHERE: Embassy Suites Saint Charles
Two Convention Center Plaza
Saint Charles, MO 63303
WHEN: Tuesday, September 13, 2022
NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated nearly 3,000 vehicles valued at some $42 million.
Additional partners in the NABC Recycled Rides® presentation include 1-800 Charity Cars, Sherwin Williams, Lou Fusz KIA, Yipes Stripes and Terry’s Towing.
Media Opportunities: Media members will have an opportunity to cover the unveiling of the car and presentation to the recipient, as well as interview the recipient and representatives from NABC®, the insurance partners and the repair partners.
