Twenty-seven THS students made up the cast of The Addams Family, which was the school’s fall production. Additionally, 43 THS students made up the production crew.

Timberland Theatre was nominated for awards in the following categories: Outstanding Production – Budget Level 1; Outstanding Actress, Meg Gorton; Outstanding Supporting Actress, Emma Giltner and Alli McDonald; Outstanding Supporting Actor, Kyle Rehme and Lucas Sweeney; Outstanding Direction; Outstanding Scenic Design and Execution; Outstanding Costume Design and Execution; Outstanding Choreography; Outstanding Technical Execution; Outstanding Musical Direction; and Outstanding Choreography.

As a nominee for Outstanding Production, Timberland Theatre was invited to perform “Full Disclosure (Part 1)”, “Waiting” and “Full Disclosure (Part 2)” from The Addams Family on the Fabulous Fox stage at the SLHSMTA Ceremony on June 2. Also at the event, Giltner, McDonald, Rehme, and Sweeney will perform a medley with the other Supporting Actor and Actress nominees. If selected as Outstanding Actress, Gorton will represent the St. Louis High School Musical Theatre Awards at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (the Jimmy Awards) in New York City on June 24.

“I am very proud of all the work that the students and staff have accomplished,” said Melissa Queen-Couch, Timberland Theatre Director. “I am also proud of the fact that theatre professionals adjudicate the 36 productions and have recognized all of our hard work by nominating us for 12 awards.”
