Recently, members of Immanuel Women In Mission and the Advent by Candlelight committee presented a check for $1700 to the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry.  Due to Covid 19 the 16th annual Advent by Candlelight program was canceled, but donations were accepted from the Immanuel congregation and Women In Mission.  In addition a member family donated 32 dozen cans of vegetables and soups.  The $250 seed money grant from Thrivent Financial enabled the group to purchase more than 20 dozen  units of cereal, vegetables, pasta and pancake mix which was on the Pantry "most needed" list. They are grateful for the generous donors.

Advent by Candlelight is a program for women held at the beginning of Advent to emphasize the true reason of the season.  This fellowship is missed this year.  Immanuel Lutheran is located at 632 E. Highway N, Wentzville and St. Vincent de Paul food pantry is located at 230 W. 4th Street in Wentzville.
