The SSM Heart Institute at St. Joseph Health Center is offering a free educational program for people with atrial fibrillation (A-fib) and other heart rhythm disorders. Cardiac electrophysiologist Ayo Bamimore, MD, of the SSM Heart Institute, will explain the causes of A-fib, the risks of living with untreated heart rhythm disorders, and how they can be managed or cured. An electrophysiologist is a cardiologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the heart’s electrical system.
Guests will have the opportunity to get answers to their questions about treatment options. This event will be of special interest to individuals who have been diagnosed with A-fib and their loved ones.
The program will be held from 6:30 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the St. Charles Room on the first floor of SSM St. Joseph Health Center at 300 First Capitol Drive in St. Charles, Mo. A complimentary light dinner will be provided.
