The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis this past Sunday came to life with excitement, raw emotion and of course phenomenal music from what some would say is the biggest rock and roll band in the world! Mick Jagger was in great form showing off his signature dance moves performing an impressive set list. He had the whole stadium singing along. It’s hard to believe he’s 78 when you watch the way he moves across an enormous stage like that.
The first part of the show was a wonderful tribute to Charlie Watts. Jagger stated “I just want to say that it’s quite emotional seeing those images of Charlie up on the screen,” “The reaction from you guys, everything you’ve said and we’ve heard from you, has been really touching.” “We all miss Charlie so much, on the stage and off the stage, and we’d love to dedicate this tour to Charlie.”
If you would have stopped anyone at the show and asked what was one of their favorite moments of the night, many would say “Midnight Rambler” which lasted for over 12 minutes. The sound in the Dome was well-mixed and the pure energy of all the band members on stage was amazing from start to finish. St. Louis certainly got their money’s worth at this iconic concert!
