The Wentzville School District would like to congratulate Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Dr. Gregg Klinginsmith on his selection as the new Superintendent of the Warren County School District. Dr. Klinginsmith has submitted his resignation to the Wentzville Board of Education effective June 30, 2018, which will allow him to assist in the transition process once a new Assistant Superintendent of CIA is hired. “It has been an honor to work and serve the Wentzville School District over the past three years. The administrators, teachers and support staff make the WSD a wonderful place to work,” said Klinginsmith. “It was not an easy decision to leave, but I am excited about my opportunity to be the Superintendent for the Warren County R-III School District.”

Dr. Klinginsmith has accomplished a great deal during his tenure at the WSD. In the past three years, he restructured the CIA Department, creating content leaders and streamlining responsibilities. He also implemented Canvas, a new learning management system for teachers and students, and created opportunities for high school students to obtain virtual dual enrollment. “Our loss is Warrenton’s gain,” said Superintendent Dr. Curtis Cain. “Gregg is an innovative leader who was instrumental in navigating the complexities of our shift to K-6 buildings, the implementation of Ignite, as well as our partnership with other districts in the county-wide CAPS initiative. He will be missed in the WSD, but we are happy for the stakeholders in Warrenton and look forward to working collaboratively with him to continue to move public education forward in Missouri.”
