By Kathy Schweikert – Lake Saint Louis Mayor
I mentioned in my last column that the Board of Aldermen and I will be discussing “potential” changes to our ordinance on Playground Equipment, and locations permitted in residents yards. This topic will be on the agenda at our Monday, September 17th Work Session which begins at 5:30 pm. I am not sure everything will be decided at that meeting, and this may be carried over to future Work Sessions, which are open to the public. I have also asked our City Staff to see what other area cities have in their ordinances regarding playground equipment. Whatever the Board decides, it must also be heard, discussed, and voted on by Planning and Zoning.
Changes will be coming soon to the Meadows Shopping Center this fall with two new restaurants – Pradas – a Mexican restaurant, and Roasted – a coffee bar/sandwich shop/wine bar. Also, I am sorry to say that Max and Erma’s closed this week (last location in Missouri), and Pasta House will move into the location in about a month. I am sad to see Max and Erma’s leave as they were one of the original restaurants in the Meadows, but I welcome Pasta House to Lake Saint Louis – a St. Louis favorite for years.
With our many dining and shopping options opening, why leave Lake Saint Louis?
