Green Tree Elementary is honoring Schnuck Markets for their commitment to education by proclaiming March 2018 as Schnucks Appreciation Month. In the last two years, Schnucks has contributed thousands of dollars through the eScrip funding program to the school. The parents, teachers and staff at Green Tree Elementary recognize the positive impact their contributions have had on the school and community. Thanks to Schnucks and the eScrip program, they have been able to provide equipment and supplies for the art and music programs along with books for our book room which was expanded last year. This year’s eScrip funds are earmarked for technology updates.
In this age of shrinking budgets and community participation; outside sources of funding is a necessity for all schools. “Schnucks’ dedication allows our students to continue to learn and thrive in a curriculum that includes the arts, technology and literature. Without their participation, these programs would be drastically reduced and far fewer children would be able to participate,” said GTE Principal, Angela Politte. “PTOs and school administrators throughout much of the state are very aware of the positive impact that Schnuck Markets and the Escrip program are having on our schools in the Wentzville School District.” Green Tree Elementary’s PTO went to Schnucks in LSL last week to present a certificate of appreciation as well as a small token to show how much we appreciate their support (pictured).
