While we wait for the grip of winter’s cold and snow to relent, our thoughts turn to the unofficial start of Spring: junior golf sign-ups at the CA! As part of the LSLCA Open House on Friday, March 2, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., early registration for this year’s summer-long junior program will be accepted. Junior linksters between the ages of 7 and 16 will start the 2018 season on Friday, June 8. The season runs consecutive Friday mornings and will end with the annual BBQ, awards, and prizes on August 3.
Play begins each Friday morning with a “shot-gun” start at 8 a.m. or a second wave commencing at 10 a.m. All play will conclude by 12 p.m. There is a fee for each player payable by check or cash at early registration and by credit card during normal CA office hours.
Registration will begin Friday, March 2 with the sign-up process during the Open House. We are experimenting with 2 starting times this season in the hopes that we will accommodate every golfer that wants to play this beautiful game! Families must be current LSLCA members in good standing. Additional information will be provided on the LSLCA website the first week of April. www.lslca.com
As a reminder, due to the volume of junior players and our 4-hour window on Friday mornings, on-course instruction for the golfers will not be allowed. We encourage the love and growth of our game and instructional days will be coordinated prior to the start of the season. These group sessions will take place at Vince’s Driving Range just north of I-70 on Hwy A.
Volunteers will again be needed and welcomed to facilitate play!!!
Questions relating to the program may be directed to Bo Nieters: email – email@example.com call 636-312-0170.
