This year marks ten years since my husband and I held our first Halo-Wing in our front yard. Our goal was to create a heavenly scene for the families of our community; giving them an alternative to traditional “scary” Halloween.

Our inspiration was to shine God’s light. As years passed by, with the help of our wonderful friends and volunteers who make up our Angel Brigade, the number of our families and guests grew.

Three years ago we moved Halo-Wing to Boulevard Park in order to welcome more people and offer more activities. We would like to thank all of those families and “young at heart” who came out to support our event over these past ten years as well as the kind consideration and support of the leaders of the City of Lake St. Louis. We are so excited this year to reveal our new Noah’s Ark! Also new is “Talent Spotlight,” showcasing a local young singer each year, “Teen Time” booth, along with our traditional prizes, live gospel music, popcorn, hot cocoa and treats.

Be sure to make it for the candle lighting at 7:30 p.m. where candles will be provided to light up your world in a Heavenly scene. Join us on Saturday, October 28 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Boulevard Park in Lake St. Louis for this totally free community event.
