The community is invited to participate in the 9th Annual Christmas Wonderland, a celebration to bring some Christmas cheer to the working poor and homeless being served by First Step Back Home (FSBH), Inc. It will be held at Wentzville United Methodist Church from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16. The church is located at 725 Wall Street, Wentzville. Last year, in spite of the inclement weather, nearly 400 people came out for this popular event.
Mrs. Missouri Bridget Schuster will greet children at 11 a.m. and Santa will show up at 1 p.m., just after the exciting aerial acrobatics and clowning program coming from Kinetic Tapestry, of St. Louis. In addition there will be lots of crafts and activities for children including face painting, ornament making and photo frames to be decorated.
Lunch will be served throughout the event for all who come. Needy families will be given diapers, toiletries and personal care items as well as filled laundry/cleaning baskets. Members of the community who wish to contribute those items can bring them to the church on the day before the event or that morning.
